1. I know you, but some people may not.
So could you please introduce yourself to the world?

“Hello world! My name is Tyler Cotton, I’m an actor from Vancouver, Canada and I play Melvin the well-dressed warlock in <The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina>.”

2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry?
Also, what did you do before that?

“Technically my first job in the entertainment industry was doing background work but my first role once I was perusing acting as a career would be on <The Magicians> where I played an ice-cream vendor! Before that I was working full time at a restaurant in Vancouver as a server.”

3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry?

“I did! I went to film, acting school for about a year and a half before perusing acting as a career and I still take acting classes!”

4. If you could work with anyone you’d want,
who would that person be and why?

“Three come to mind. One, Andrew Garfield, I’ve always been such a huge fan of his acting and career. He’s inspired me throughout all of my acting and is someone I really look up to. Two, Mark Hamill, I’m a huge star wars fan so it would be a dream come true to work along side Mark Hamill. Three, my dad, my dad and I used to do background work together so he’s one of the main reasons I got into acting! While acting isn’t something he’s really perusing It would mean to world to me to do something with him again, even if he was doing background work on a show I was on, it would be super cool!”

5. What does a normal day in your life look like?

“Depends what kind of day it is. If it’s a work day then I get up shower, pack my bags for set, drive to set to get there super early, eat breakfast, get into my trailer to do my warmups and prepare for the day, go through hair and makeup, ACT, then drive home and go to bed! If it’s a non set day then it’s usually, wakeup, shower, go to the gym, watch some tv, play some guitar, maybe get together with friends, go to bed!”

6. Where is your favorite place to be and why?

“Vancouver, Canada! I came from a small town outside of Calgary, Alberta so I love the city and I love being right by the water! My family house in Calgary was in the middle of nowhere so nothing delivered to us so now that I’m living in Vancouver it blows my mind to be able to get pizza delivered right to my door!”

7. If you could, what would be the one advice
you would want to give to your younger self?

“Stop worrying about being popular, just be happy with who you are and with the path you are on.”

8. What is the best advice that you’ve gotten?
Who was the person that gave it to you?

“Passion outweighs everything and leads to success. My dad told me that when I was really down about my acting and it’s something I’ll never forget. If you are truly passionate about something then nothing will stop you. I’ve been up until the crack of dawn working on auditions, missed countless social gatherings, and put so many tears into some of my work.”

9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

“Being on Sabrina, this experience has been more than I could have ever asked for! I get to do what I love with such amazing people on a show that blows my mind every script I get. I am truly blessed.”

10. If you could book any role in the years to come,
what would that dream role be?

“My dream role is to play one of the Robins, specifically Tim Drake. I’ve always been a bigger fan of Robin than I was of Batman. A Robin comic was the first comic I ever read. So that would be my dream role.”

11. Is there anything you can disclose about any new project?

“Just that I’ve got a few in the works, can’t give specifics yet.”

12. What is the best part about life on set?

“Being with the amazing people. This cast is so open and welcoming. I love hanging out with all of them, on and off set.”

13. What is your best memory so far from the CAOS set?

“I have so many! One that comes to mind is my first day back on part 3 with Lucy. We were having so much fun on set that we could not stop laughing.”

14. How was your audition for CAOS?

”Quick. Melvin was only supposed to be in one episode so I only had one audition. I was super sick actually during the audition! I came in, read two scenes, and then a week or so later I got a call from my agent telling me that I booked the role!”

15. Do you have a favorite episode of CAOS?
If yes, which one and why?

“I think the Christmas episode might be one of my favourites it was just such a surprise to the fans and such a fun episode. The Lupercalia episode might be one of my favourites too just because it was my first episode and I had so much fun on set with Abbey (Cowen who plays Dorcas).”

16. If you could play anyone else but Melvin on the show, who would that be?

“Hmm that’s a tough one because I love Melvin so much! If I had to choose I’d probably choose Harvey just because I’m also a big comic book fan. I’m also a big fan of the character Robin (played by Jonathan Whitesell) in part 3.”

17. What are your favorite ships from CAOS?

“I’m a big fan of Theo and Robin in part 3 so maybe them. One of my favourite ships is also Melvin and Dorcas, I just think that there is such a fun dynamic between the two.”

18. In the end, is there anything you’d like to say to the people who support you?

“From the bottom of my heart thank you. I truly wouldn’t be able to do any of this without any of you. I owe so much to my family, friends and fans.”
