1. I know you, but some people may not. So could you please introduce yourself to the world? ”Hi there, my name is Houston Stevenson, I was born and raised in Vancouver BC but also have dual citizenship and am an American through my mom who is from Seattle and Los Angeles. When I’m not acting I love to be on the water, or hiking to keep fit. I’m very spiritual and find being in the mountains keeps me grounded and energized which I find brings me amazing life energy. I hike about 70 to 80k a week.” 2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry? Also, what did you do before that? ”My first job was playing myself as a 15 year old on the Real Housewives of Vancouver because my mom was one of the real housewives on the show. I wasn’t on it much but it was an interesting experience. Scripted and reality are pretty different and I can say I absolutely prefer the acting side of things. However being on RHOV helped me understand more and become comfortable around cameras and crews. It also taught me what it was like to work long hours. I got my first real job for scripted television when I got an agent in high school and was later cast as guest star for one episode on a show called Spooksville. A giant octopus ate me after my 2-minute intro into the world of on camera acting.” 3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry? ”I was a theater nerd throughout school until high school doing plays through drama class etc. I think that gave me the magic feeling about it early on as a kid. After graduation I hopped around to a few academy’s and studios throughout La and Vancouver BC. I studied at AMDA which I received an acting scholarship to attend. Later I studied at the Vancouver Film School film to understand the production side of things and to study what it’s like to be behind the camera instead of in front of it, as I also enjoy directing and producing. Now I’m addicted to the Ivana Chubbuck studio in Hollywood California. Her technique works well for me. It has to do more with tapping into feeling the real emotions while speaking the lines.” 4. If you could work with anyone you'd want, who would that person be and why? ”Zack Baggins from Ghost Adventures. His show is all about the paranormal. I find that stuff fascinating. But for on Camera acting, who else but the legend, Nicholas Cage!” 5. What does a normal day in your life look like? ”I like to keep busy and healthy, I do a lot of running and hiking, I find I feel centered and grounded up in the mountains, and being out in nature brings me good life energy. I also the study the stock market and have a huge European Doberman named Vulcan that keeps me busy, he’s like having a child or two.” 6. Where is your favorite place to be and why? ”As an actor where else but on set!! It’s Disneyland for me.” 7. If you could, what would be the one advice you would want to give to your younger self? ”Focus! Time goes by quickly!” 8. What is one of the best advice that you've got? ”Learn from the mistakes of others. We do not live long enough to make them all ourselves. Older people who have gone down the path before you often have great wisdom. Listen and learn.” 9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far? ”Yes, while many productions and businesses are sadly on hold around the world due to COVID - 19 I will have the awesome privilege of filming at end of September the 3rd sequel to the film I lead in called (Stalkers Prey <A Predators Obsession>). I play a guy who has a major heartbreak and goes on a killing spree. Yikes! It’s a good one and you haven’t seen it you can catch it on Apple TV, Google Play or the Lifetime Network.” 10. If you could book any role in the next years to come, what would that dream role be? ”I would like to play in a romance film like The Notebook or in a war film that has a strong message.” 11. You star in the horror feature film ”Fear Pharm”. Is there anything you can disclose about your role and the film? ”It’s a horror film so it’s scary. Be prepared for that before you watch. It’s fun and quirky at times though. It’s different! Kind of an American Pie meets Texas chainsaw Massacre. Check it out! “Fear Pharm” is a 2020 American horror feature film about four teenagers that enter a maze, which is home to a deranged family. If 4 high school seniors make it through a 'human-maze' in under 2 hours - they'll win the "Cash Grand Prize"... it seems simple enough... but only if you can escape the deranged family of dermatologists who've been harvesting the DNA of young teens for their special pharmaceutical cream. I take on the leading role as Brandon, your typical all American Jock, an easy-going guy, who’s all about his buddies and high school football. After graduation however things change from a high school jock turned to simple dude. Brandon just wants to sleep with his girlfriend, get drunk, and have a laid back time. “Fear Pharm” is being released on DVD and On Demand on September 15, 2020. The pulse-pounding horror film will be available via Apple TV, Google Play, Prime Video, FandangoNOW and more.” 12. What is the best part about life on set? ”I enjoy the community feeling you get when you’re on set for a long period of time, or on a TV series. It’s nice that everyone respects each other and does their part, which are all extremely necessary for the creation of the movie. I’m also a film nerd so I feel like I’m at Universal Studios when I run around the sets and see how they are built each so unique to each script.” 13. In the end, is there anything you'd like to say to the people who support you? ”All I have to say is thank you mamma. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
