1. I know you, but some people may not.
So could you please introduce yourself to the world?

”I’m an actor, originally from Ireland. I’ve appeared in several film and television productions, including season two of Departure which is currently streaming on Peacock TV; Dublin Murders, available on Starz, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+, Cold Courage and Foundation to name a few of the productions. ”

2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry?
Also, what did you do before that?

”I was in a bunch of zero-budget indie films and student productions when I started out as I was looking to build up my experience on set. Technically, those films would have been my first jobs. However, my first real, fully paid role was in a TV show called ‘Saor Sinn o Olc’ which means ‘free us from evil’. I booked the role straight after I moved home from my studies in Vancouver. The show was an Irish mini-series that told six 30-minute stand-alone stories and I was cast as one of three leads in the 5th installment. Before acting, I was a student. I remember working some summer day jobs, but the film industry was my first career.”

3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry?

”Yes, I did drama for most of my childhood which got me into acting. I studied full time at the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts after high school and graduated with a Diploma in Dramatic Arts. After graduating, I always tried to stay sharp by taking scene study classes and have trained in several other schools in Vancouver and Dublin.”

4. If you could work with anyone you'd want,
who would that person be and why?

”I’d probably say Aaron Sorkin. He is such a talented writer and storyteller. His ability to write sharp, witty dialogue, and to balance it so well through the emotional moments is incredible. I love all his movies!”

5. What does a normal day in your life looks like?

”I either start with yoga at home or head down to the gym for an hour. I spend 30 or 40 minutes reading a book out loud with an American accent. It helps me to stay sharp with the dialect and get some reading in at the same time! If I’m not on set, I might have an audition, so I could either be learning lines or shooting a self tape. If no audition or filming, I might spend the afternoon writing or running my website https://castandhire.ie/.”

6. Where is your favorite place to be and why?

”With my family, or friends. It could be out for a meal, a hike, a holiday or just hanging out at home. Everything is more fun with family/friends.”

7. If you could, what would be the one advice
you would want to give to your younger self?

”Don’t stress about the little things. Everything always works out, there is always a silver lining.”

8. What is one of the best advice that you've got?
Who was the person that gave it to you?

”When I was studying at VADA, one of my coaches said <success happens when preparation meets opportunity>. That was the first time I’d heard the phrase and it stuck with me. The right role could crop up, and if you haven’t been working on your dialect, staying in shape, keeping sharp in class or on set… etc the lack of preparation could mean a missed opportunity.”

9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

”I can’t think of any one thing. Moving to Vancouver by myself as a teenager to pursue acting is something that I have never thought too much of. But thinking about it now, not knowing anyone in Vancouver, never even having been to Canada before, that move was a pretty big deal, a massive life experience, and the catalyst for the rest of my life as an actor.”

10. If you could book any role in the next years to come,
what would that dream role be?

”If I could pick anything, it would probably be something similar to the character of Trinity in The Matrix. I love those films, and would love to play a character like that. She’s a great character and all-round badass.”

11. You are the second season of Departure.
Is there anything you can disclose about the new season and your role?

”Each season of Departure tells a completely different story, with a different mystery that needs to be solved. So, while my character is involved in the mystery of season two, the third season will have a new cast and a completely different premise.”

12. What is the best part about life on set?

”Getting to meet and work with new people all of the time. With each project, you’re telling a new story, so the location is always different, the cast and crew is always different. I love that about being on set, it’s always something new.”

13. In the end, is there anything you'd like to say to the people who support you?

”Season two of Departure is currently streaming on Peacock TV in the states, and I hope everyone loves it.”
