1. I know you, but some people may not. So could you please introduce yourself to the world? "My name is Dexter Bell" 2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry? Also, what did you do before that? "My first job in the industry was on the hit show The X-files. Before that I worked at a clothing store and did some construction." 3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry? "I toured with a drama club and studied with some amazing teachers as well." 4. If you could work with anyone you'd want, who would that person be and why? "If i could study with anyone it would probably be Denzel Washington and or Robert DeNiro because I've been fans of theirs forever and they always do work that I thoroughly enjoy." 5. What does a normal day in your life looks like? "Well these days thanks to Covid19, not too exciting. Waking up early because of my little monsters, I mean kids, and taking turns with my wife trying to keep them entertained best we can under the lock down orders, and hopefully getting in some kind of workout or training of some sort before the day ends." 6. Where is your favorite place to be and why? "My favorite place to be is wherever my family is, and Jamaica because that's where my roots are from." 7. If you could, what would be the one advice you would want to give to your younger self? "Advice I'd give my younger self is <Enjoy the journey along the way, never allow the highs to take you to high, or the lows to take you too low. Remember who you are and don't get lost in all the hype. Keep God 1st.>" 8. What is your biggest accomplishment so far? "I would honestly say Torn has been my biggest accomplishment to date for a myriad of reasons. Sure, I have been in bigger budget shows or movies, but not to the capacity of Torn on all levels. Being able to help produce, have a hand with the creative process, casting selection, melding acting and stunts together, and doing all this all friends and family on a project with such a strong script that is so relevant in this day and age, was unbelievable." 9. If you could book any role in the next years to come, what would that dream role be? "My dream role would be to meld the combination of a fantastic script that had both elements of drama, but still comedic components, but still have some great action elements, and fight sequences all together, haha." 10. Is there anything you can disclose about Torn: Dark Bullets? "Torn is a heart pounding, edge of your seat, thrill ride that that takes you through the journey of a Detective who may or may not be guilty of a cover up against a black teenager. It delves into the life of the officer along with his family dynamic as it unravels after the situation and simultaneously intersects with the lives of the fallen boy and his family one fateful night. I play the middle child Dom, who is understandably a bit of a hot head who doesn't have any patience or benefit of the doubt regarding the officer. There are a lot of tough questions and even tougher statements made as we all get it off of our chests." 11. What is the best part about life on set? "The best part about life on this particular set was the fact I got to be with so many people who are near and dear to my heart,whom I've known and grew up with like family. Don't know if that will ever happen to this level, but I sure pray this is only the beginning of things to come." 12. In the end, is there anything you'd like to say to the people who support you? "To the many who support me, I'd like to send the biggest heart filled sincerest thank you. Although I may not always be in contact because of schedule conflicts, traveling different time zones, etc just life in general, I appreciate the love and support. Know that when the road looks bleak and I'm exhausted, I feed off the messages, memories and well wishes and it pushes me to get through it and hopefully make you all happy and proud, and I appreciate it immensely!"
