1. I know you, but some people may not.
So could you please introduce yourself to the world?

"Hi! I’m Darius Willis and I’m a 21 year old actor based in Vancouver, Canada.
I was born in Honolulu, but moved to Vancouver at a very young age.
I’m also half Filipino & half African American."

2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry?
Also, what did you do before that?

"I did a small part in a movie called Pookmis, that the homie hooked me up with. Thankfully I was cut from the film, because in hindsight I had no idea what I was doing and it was not my best work haha! Although, the first role I booked with my agent was a film called Spiral. They flew me out to Calgary and I had an amazing time. The scene was very intense, but the cast and crew were amazing and helped through the whole thing. I can’t wait for people to see it! Prior to acting I’ve worked a couple 9-5 customer service jobs, I’m still currently working at a bakery. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to do acting full time. It’s only been 9 months, so things are looking promising!"

3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry?

"I did a year of criminology at SFU. After a year, my mom suggested I go into acting,
since Crim wasn’t really vibing with me. So I applied to an acting school,
auditioned for their 6 months program and finished in September of 2018. "

4. If you could work with anyone you'd want,
who would that person be and why?

"I’d love to work with Taraji P. Henson. She’s probably my favourite actor and has done so much for the black community. From her mental health foundation and her being an all round amazing person. She’s definitely someone who inspires me to put 100% into everything I do and to never give up."

5. What does a normal day in your life looks like?

"I wake up around 7-8am and I’ll walk my dog. Then if I have auditions I’ll prep those or if I have work I’ll go to that. Apart from work related things, I’ll go to the gym or play sports. (Ex. Soccer, bouldering, ultimate, ect...) I also love to sing, so my day consist of a lot of singing my heart out to r&b."

6. Where is your favorite place to be and why?

"Probably on a soccer pitch, because I don’t have to worry/think about anything.
It’s 90mins of me living in the moment, with no responsibilities.
All that’s on my mind is winning the game."

7. If you could, what would be the one advice
you would want to give to your younger self?

"Don’t care so much about what other think. Just be you.
People will either be accepting or not and if not you probably don’t need them anyways."

8. What is one of the best advice that you've got?
Who was the person that gave it to you?

"<You like to perform, so why don’t you go into acting> - Mom circa 2018.
Make sure you try new things, you never know what could change your life."

9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

"This is hard, because I feel like I haven’t accomplished a whole lot yet. I still have much bigger aspirations, but you gotta look at the little victories as well. So I would say finishing acting school. Because, acting isn’t a very logical thing to get into, but it’s something I fell in love with and not everyone has the opportunity to follow their passion. So I’m glad I took the steps to follow mine."

10. If you could book any role in the next years to come,
what would that dream role be?

"Miles Morales in a live action Spider-Man would be amazing!
Especially after seeing Into the Spiderverse, I feel like I am Morales.
So HOLLA at me Marvel!!!"

11. Is there anything you can disclose about any new project?

"No unfortunately, but make sure to watch the new season of Sabrina
when it comes out. I have a feeling it’s gonna be dope."

12. What is the best part about life on set?

"Hanging out with the cast members and realizing that a year ago you were watching them on screen in your bed and now you’re sitting next to them on set. It’s truly mind blowing, like I never thought I’d see you on the street, let alone be your friend. It’s a wild experience."

13. In the end, is there anything you'd like to say to the people who support you?

"Shout out to my parents, friends and other family who have come along for the ride and have been super supportive. There’s a lot more to accomplish and I super excited to bring y’all along. Also shout out to Andreea and her SabrinaEurope page! Much love!"
