1. I know you, but some people may not.
So could you please introduce yourself to the world?

"Hello! I’m Dan Rizzuto. A film industry veteran that has worked in several facets of the business. Everything from extra work to directing a feature film."

2. What was your first job in the entertainment industry?
Also, what did you do before that?

"Before breaking into the film industry I was working as a celebrity bodyguard. It was what thought I wanted to do. That is until I took a job body-guarding a new up and coming actress which would required me to be on set with her all day, every day. It was truly an amazing experience that lead to the path I’m on now."

3. Did you study acting before getting into the industry?

"My introduction to the industry was my mother. She had dabbled in the business as an actress who had a few small parts on a couple soap operas and did a stint dancing on Broadway. She also owed and ran a dance studio. At one point I met one of her acting friends that lived in Los Angeles, and that got me thinking a little more about it."

4. If you could work with anyone you'd want,
who would that person be and why?

"To be honest, I have worked with so many amazing actor and actresses that my bucket list sets are all being achieved! I have loved working with all the A listers I have. However, there are a few people that I haven’t had the opportunity to work with that I truly would love to. Daniel Day-Lewis has to be the one person I would love to sit on set with and converse with. I have always been a huge fan of his abilities to transform himself into the believable characters he plays."

5. What does a normal day in your life looks like?

"Normal? What’s that! lol. My days are extremely busy. Since I’m still coordinating and performing on sets, running M1 Action Design, and focusing heavily on Cerebral Monkey Entertainment, there isn’t much time for anything else. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m loving what is happening right now. It feels like everything I’ve worked for my entire life is coming together as planned."

6. Where is your favourite place to be and why?

"I love traveling. Adventuring into new cultures and learning as much as I can. Our world is much bigger than out own little bubbles we chose to live in. I was part of a film that shot in Cyprus last summer, which is now high on my list of amazing places!"

7. If you could, what would be the one advice
you would want to give to your younger self?

"Don’t give into fear! That simple. As we get older we realize that what others think is so very unimportant. I have alway thought I did what made me happy and made the choices I truly believed in. But then I realized I was basing decisions on fear cause I was worried what other thought. Those day are long gone now. I just wish I had realized it sooner in my journey."

8. What is one of the best advice that you've got?
Who was the person that gave it to you?

"As of recent, the best advice I’ve gotten was from an outstanding stunt performer, turned action director. Chad Stahelski, who is the director for all the John Wick films. It may not make sense too many of you, but I had an issue with something and Chad said, “Call their bluff”. And that alone has changed my perception on many aspects of this business."

9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

"I feel like every accomplishment is my biggest. I reach for hard to grasp achievements. But as of recent, it has to be the movie TORN: Dark Bullets. To pull off a full feature in the independent world with little money is not an easy feat. Coming from the big budget films where there is someone to do every job that needs to be done makes it a lot easier. In the indie world you need to be the master of several areas to even get it off the ground. Especially to pull off a film that doesn’t look or feel low budget. This I believe we did!"

10. If you could book any role in the next years to come,
what would that dream role be?

"Directing a big budget action or dramatic film."

11. Is there anything you can disclose about
the new project that you are promoting?

"TORN: Dark Bullets is a look into a police shoot of a young black man. It’s based heavily on a discussion between the parents of the teen and the officer. It’s a dramatic thriller that is a snowball of a film. It just keeps getting more and more intense. It’s a film that you really need to listen to what is being said. The synopsis is below: <While on duty, Detective Pearce shoots and kills a black teenager. During the criminal trial Pearce is found not guilty. Despite his acquittal, Pearce’s personal life deteriorates as he uses booze and self-pity to cope. Amidst one of these bouts with the bottle, Pearce becomes aware of a civil lawsuit filed by the family for loss of life and damages. In a moment of alcohol fueled self-righteousness, Pearce decides to confront the parents of the victim. When Pearce arrives at their home, circumstances spiral into a hostile situation that continues to ramp in intensity as more people become involved, creating a pressure cooker where all secrets are revealed>."

12. What is the best part about life on set?

"Just being on set! The environment. The people, the adventures, the every changing landscape of scenes, prep, emotions, the delivery. I love it all!"

13. In the end, is there anything you'd like to say to the people who support you?

"I love all those who support each other in their never ending goals of chasing dreams. Life is short and we all need to support each other more than is happening now. Fear and Ego have no place in film. When one succeeds, we all succeed. We die with nothing. So give all you can to those around you. And if you chose not to, sit quietly and keep your mouth shut. If you’re not helping, do be there to hurt someone else just because they are chasing after something you are too scared to work for."
